This is the true story of Vince Papale, who became a member of the Philadelphia Eagles football team as a 30-year-old in an open tryout. He is the oldest rookie to make an NFL team (excluding kickers) who never played college ball.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars!

IMDB Rating: 7.1 out of 10 stars!

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 71%

Invincible is a fun and inspirational movie, it’s motivating. A die heart Eagles fan, Vince Papale, gets the opportunity to try for the team, and it couldn’t have happened at a better time for him. His home life is rocky, he’s been fired from his teaching job, and strikes are happening all over the state.

Surprisingly this is a Disney movie, and it’s based on a real person and situation. The strikes were pulling the heart out of the locals. Vince’s wife walked out on him. The Eagles kept losing. The people of Philly struggled on with a mixture of gut determination and faith. If you’re a fan of the Rocky movies, or watching the underdog take it all and win then this is for you!
